Weekly Eye On Missions: February 10, 2010
Dan Dubbe, GPBC Missionary to Germany
Dear Ones in Christ,
I am writing this prayer letter looking out the window at plenty of fresh snow, and I am grateful for how God has led and provided. We as a family celebrated Christmas among packing boxes. After five months of living out of suitcases, we are finally unpacked and are settling into our home. Two of our sons who are in college were able to be with us for the holidays. The Christmas service was a great service, and a service on New Year's Eve to close out the year.
Our year furlough was a good thing for the assembly as the leadership, men and believers are maturing well. During the last Lord's Supper as the deacons passed out the elements, I was blessed to see the men I had led to the Lord now as faithful believers ministering in the assembly!
Renewing the vision: We have served for 18 years on the field of Germany, and my prayer from Habakkuk 3:2 is "O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years." I would like to spend, Lord willing, the next 18 years on the field as well. There is much to be done. Four towns near us are large enough for a church to be started in them, and we will be working with the existing church here in that new outreach endeavor. Please pray for our church as we focus on what God would have us undertake in the new year!
Yours for souls,
Dan & Tricia Dubbe with family
