Weekly Eye On Missions: February 3, 2010

Dan Deschamp, GPBC Missionary to Canada

Dear Fellow-Labourers in Jesus Christ,

In just the last twelve weeks, our soul winners have seen nearly 120 people trust Christ as their Savior. We are in the middle of our rainy season. In fact, it has rained over eleven inches in the last twelve days, so our soul winning times are dictated by the weather. As missionaries in the Arctic regions know, people will not hold their doors open to visit when the weather is bitter cold. So we have discovered that when it is raining heavily, people do not like to converse with you for a lengthy period of time with their door open. And as missionaries in Canada have had to learn about soul winning, people rarely invite you into their home. Consequently, most of our visitation is spent standing at the front door.

In previous prayer letters, I have asked you to pray for a truck and a trailer for our work, as we can no longer store our church equipment in our rented facilities. The Lord has answered both of those prayers in supplying us with both a new truck and a new trailer. He went above and beyond in our requests and paid for all taxes. Thank the Lord for answered prayer, and you folks for your prayers.

We thank you for your kind support of this ministry. We need and appreciate your prayers and support on our behalf. Please continue to pray for our church services, soul winning, for our converts to be baptized, and for faithfulness among our congregation.

Sincerely,
Dan Deschamp
