Steve Myers: April 2008

Dear Colaborer's

Well time is flying! We have had 7 professions of faith since our last prayer letter. One man picked up one of our tracts from the floor of a Muslim's convenient store and read it and gave me a call and I came over and led him to Christ. He is an illegal immigrant from Zambia. He and his brother work for Muslim traders 6 days a week and 12 to 13 hours a day for 100 dollars a month. They have come to South Africa looking for a better life. What better life then knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

We are helping to start a new church on the other side of town. The name of the church is Faith Baptist Church, we will ordain the pastor this month. His name is Leo Minaar, he worked with me before and has helped me before when I was on furlough in the past.

The Zulu church is growing but unfortunately it is mostly women, the men have no time for God except for weddings and funerals! My interpreters are getting married on June 21, 2008. He has got his transfer, which is a big answer to prayer and hopefully this will help us with reaching other young Zulu couples in the community.

The Indians have been a lot harder to reach and to keep on the straight and narrow. We are wanting to print a mentor discipleship program which will cost about 799 dollars. I also am training some men in the church to preach while I am away. Pray that God will work in their heart to surrender to full time ministry.

Remember I will be in the USA from September-December for Furlough. Please contact me ASAP if would like me to come by. I have dates open in Oct., Nov., and Dec..

We appreciate your prayers and support!
