Jeffrey "Scott" Dean, GPBC Missionary to Mongolia
Dear Pastor and Church,
We are now in the United States and will be here for the next eight months except for a brief trip to Canada. It has been a pleasure to be with our families again. We had a Mongolian Christian man travel back with us from Mongolia and spend about a week with us. It was an amazing trip for him. He was able to attend several of our American church services. Although he does not attend Faith Baptist Church in Ulan Bator, I am hopeful that from his trip to America, he will take away encouragement that will further his Christian walk and effectiveness in Mongolia.
While we are absent from Mongolia, the church there has not been lazy. Several Mongolian men, particularly Ganpurev, have been diligent in accepting their responsibilities while I am away. Indeed, the church seems to be thriving in our absence.
Dashka's wife, Tonga, continues to undergo chemotherapy treatments. Please pray for her salvation. Since Tonga has started her cancer treatments, the children have been coming to church with Dashka. However, that has been a source of contention between the two of them. Recently, Tonga has started refusing to allow the children to accompany Dashka to church.
We praise the Lord that the Christians in Mongolia continue to grow even while we are away from them. It brings great joy to hear of our "children walking in truth."
