Roger and Karen Bowman: May-June 2010

[see below for May-June 2010 Prayer Letter in PDF format.....]

Greetings from Mexico.

Let me thank everyone for praying for the finalization of my immigration process here. After eleven years of dealing with immigration, I have my resident visa allowing me to legally preach and be a minister here in Mexico, per Mexican law. We are grateful to Pastor Gregorio Cazares and Iglesia Bautista Trinidad for being our sponsoring church.

July will be exceptionally busy for us. On July 2, our first group from Victory Baptist Church will arrive to finish the roof on our ministry property. There will be an electrician in this group to put in the electricity. They will be here until July 10. During their time here we will have Vacation Bible School in San Jose. Please pray that more children will be saved this year.

Then in mid-July the Youth Group from Victory will be here. These young people will be completing the painting inside and out, putting in a sidewalk, and doing some work in San Jose.

Attached, you will find a photo of the building [see pdf copy]. Plans are to have the building completely finished and ready for use by August 1st.

As problems with drug trafficking are escalating within the U.S. and Mexico, we ask for your continued prayer for our visitors as well as the safety of God's people here. Each day we are reminded of our need for prayer warriors on our behalf. There have been a lot of changes in Mexico over the past 17 years. All of which makes us realize. ... safety is of the LORD. Proverbs 21:31

Your Servants in Christ,
Roger and Karen

Roger and Karen Bowman: January & February 2010

The completion of our ministry property in Arteaga is now awaiting a roof and a few finishing touches. This property is paid for (we have the deed), and will be legalized as soon as the building is completed. Mexican law says that church property must be registered; and as such, neither the government nor anyone else will be able to seize the building and use it for any other purpose....continue

Roger and Karen Bowman: December 2009

Coming to the close of another year makes us realize that we need to praise and thank God for everything we have in our lives. We especially thank him for the thirteen children saved in VBS this past summer. We are grateful for the five men that took the time and expense to come this month to help with our building project and to preach in our church and to...continue
