Mike and Debbie Lane: February, March, and April 2007

Greetings dear friends and co-laborers with God:

We rejoice in God's unfailing presence and blessings in our lives and ministries and pray His richest blessings upon you all and your churches also. Since January, we have rejoiced to see 25 more saved (185 Year To Date) and 32 baptized (36 YTD).

We are currently ministering to more than 50 young people who attend our church and come from about 12 communities where we have missions and churches. We have seen at least 18 of them saved and 20 baptized recently. They come from small communities and most are very poor and would not have the opportunity to attend middle or high school without this ministry of providing a home for them in our city. If you would like to support or sponsor a child, anything would help. There are many who support children through programs that do not result in the child being saved, baptized and discipled in a Bible believing Baptist Church. You can be assured that these are receiving that Biblical training. We would be happy to assign you a child and send information about them.

In April, not having Easter Week Camp for 2 years, several churches asked us to do something this year, so we did. Seven churches came together and approximately 150 attended and visited the Camp. At least one was saved, a number received assurance of salvation, and many made commitments to the Lord. All went away encouraged and eager to bring more next year.

Also, in April, Debbie was asked to help the pastor's wife from Heritage Baptist in Monroe, Wa. to do a mural on the walls of a Christian School of a church in a neighboring city here in Honduras. They did a great job and this allowed my wife to exercise her artistic abilities again to be a blessing to another Baptist church. Also, one night at midnight I was privileged to lead the night clerk in the hotel to Christ.
We have been able to purchase a lot for the new mission of Good Shepherd Baptist in La Esperanza and have a group lined up to come in September to help build the building. Also, work proceeds slowly on buildings for two missions in the mountains. Catholics are fighting hard in all our mountain communities to pressure our people to "return to the holy faith" and sprinkle their babies (the price this month is 200 lempira , about $10).
We ALWAYS NEED YOUR PRAYERS!

Work on the New Hope Baptist church in La Esperanza is going on. We still need roofs on the side additions and the "rains-a-coming".

We love you all. THANK YOU FOR GIVING TO THE LORD AND OUR MINISTRY!
In Christ's Service,
Mike and Debbie Lane
