Mike and Debbie Lane: January and February 2006

Dear Co-Laborers with God,

Greetings from Honduras. I find it hard to believe 2005 has ended and we have nearly finished two months of the new year! Last year was a great one in so many ways. Over 240 persons professed Christ as their Saviour in our ministries. We began building the church building in our neighborhood and got up the walls, poured the cement floor and erected the trusses before we left for a two month furlough during which time we were able to spend Christmas with our children and five grandchildren, two of which I had never seen. We came back in January just in time to get ready for a great group from the Heritage Baptist Fellowship in Monroe, Washington. Tliey brought 10 with them and we were joined by Ed Edington and his son Kyle, missionaries to Guatemala, whom are sent out by this church. They ministered to children with cancer, a children's home, and several neighborhoods with songs, skits, gospel magic, and special gospel coloring books designed by Cheryl, pastor Tom Minnick's wife. We ministered and got the gospel message out to hundreds of children and adults. It was an action-packed, "full to the brim", very blessed 10 days. We believe every one went away touched and changed in a very special way and many of our people were blessed by their coming. They are making plans for another trip to Honduras in 2007, with an even larger group. A very special thank you goes to the church and Stephen Weeks for procuring the sound system and to each who worked on the building's electrical and sound systems.

Thus far, we have had 7 accept Christ this year in our services or in witnessing, including 2 Columbians in Washington State that spoke only Spanish. Within a few days after accepting Christ as a result of our witnessing to her, the 92 year old mother died and went to be with her Savior.

Thank all of you who sent special Christmas gifts. They are so appreciated as are all of you who remember us in prayers and monthly support. It would be impossible to do all we do without you "holding the rope"...and speaking of ropes, we were up on the roof of the new church building today putting on the roof and holding on for dear life. Please pray for continued strength to build and preach and meet all the demands that we have for our time, energy, and resources. In addition to building our new building, we will be helping at least 6 churches with buildings this year. Pray for us and if you can help, please do.

We love you all,
Winning the lost of Honduras,
Bro. Mike and Debbie Lane
