Weekly Eye On Missions: December 30, 2009

Kyle Charters, GPBC Missionary to El Salvador

In October, we held our second annual Kid's Day. Because of many first-time visitors, we had 101 in attendance. We had carnival games and prizes for everyone. We were able to reach several new families as a result of this special day. One of our faithful ladies in the church is now in charge of the Children's Sunday School and Children Church hour. We are thrilled to see others working in the church, but she is equally excited to serve the Lord.

Also, during the month of October, we conducted our first Marriage seminar. There is a great need here for Biblical teaching on the Christian home and how to have a true, God-honoring Christian marriage and family. We believe that this was a great investment into the lives and families of our church. Dr. Bob Green from BIMI and Roberto Nieto, a Salvadoran pastor, came to preach for us.

On October 11, we were able to see, to the glory of God, 22 people obey the Lord in Believer's Baptism. That morning, I had preached a Gospel message about "Knowing For Sure That You Are Saved". Two men came forward to trust Christ as their Savior.

There were three families baptized. The others were three adult men, two sisters, a brother and sister, a mother and her teenage son, a father and his daughter, one grandmother, and also our son Kurtis.

In Christ,
Kyle Charters
