Kevin and Stacy Byers: September 2007

Greetings,

Once again we thank you all for your faithful support and prayers on our behalf. We trust you are doing well and hope the Lord is continuing to bless you.

This month we had two more churches take on our support and we now have 65% of our support raised. We thank the Lord for his provision along the way and the many spiritual blessings besides.

During the month of September we saw several extra expenses arise and I wanted to share some of them with you. Stacy needed an eye exam and a new set of glasses and our van needs to have the breaks replaced soon. Not long ago a rock hit our windshield; the window didn't chip, it just cracked from top to bottom. We ordered school materials and uniforms for the boys at the start of the school year and so the past two months have been full of expenses. Please pray the Lord will provide in these areas.

We are excited about a lady who trusted Christ on her door step during church visitation. I had the opportunity to partner with a seasoned soul-winner from Corry Baptist Church in Pennsylvania. Pastor Anderson said most of their members are actively involved in door to door visitation. I met another lady a few days later named Stacy and shared the message of the Gospel with her. She preferred to pray and ask the Lord to save her once she arrived home. I hope she was sincere and perhaps I will hear back from Open Door Baptist Church if she attends the services there. Please keep these ladies in prayer.

I believe God is doing something in the life of a man I met recently. I don't really want to give any details at this time but I trust the Lord will know who you are talking about in your prayers. He is a very hard individual and he is not saved. The Lord allowed me to witness to this man for several hours and I am praying the Word of God will cut deep into his soul and convict him of sin. The Bible says in Psa 19:7 "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple." I praise God for the day my soul was converted! How about you?

Well I hope you are sitting down because Stacy and I have some big news for you. We are expecting a baby sometime in May. Bella is praying for a girl because she says she wants a baby sister. We are praying for a healthy pregnancy and delivery and we trust you will pray as well.

In closing let me say how thankful we are to each of you who pray and support our ministry. There are so many involved and so many we have met during deputation. Our troops continue to deploy and the coming of our Lord is closer now than when we started. We look forward to representing you in the field of Germany. We will endeavor to gain our support quickly so we can reach the military for salvation and future service!
