Kevin and Stacy Byers: May 2006

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Weighing in at 6lbs and 3oz with a total length of 19 inches stretched out as far as we could stretch him; allow me to introduce Caleb Benjamin Byers. He was born May 31st at 12:19 P.M. Mom and Baby are doing great and there were no complications.

Thank you seems very inadequate, but thank you so much for your prayers, gifts, cards, and flowers. Stacy and I were moved to see the number of people who are praying for our family and interested in our wellbeing.

Another great answer to prayer came last month with the sale of our motor home. We were able to sell it for $4,000. If you remember, we purchased that fine piece of machinery for $500. Thank God he allowed us to recover much of the gas money from the last several months of deputation. We are tempted at this point to begin hitch-hiking to meetings because of the soaring prices at the pump, but what are the chances of finding six empty seats in a vehicle?

Through the sale of our motor home, I had opportunity to share the gospel with a man named Jack. I firmly believe God is working in his life. Please pray he will keep his promise and visit church with me. Although he did not have time for me to finish presenting the gospel, I truly believe his heart is ready to accept Christ.

While Stacy is recovering, I am busy on the phone trying to contact pastors in the northeast. We plan to be there four months and then proceed to Florida for some mission conferences. Lord willing, we should return to the northwest in April of 2007. It is hard to believe we have already been on deputation for one year. Even though our traveling has been limited this month, the Lord saw fit to add Bellingham Baptist Church to our list of faithful financial supporters. We praise the Lord for this encouraging news.

Bella's visit to the allergy specialist revealed she is no longer allergic to dairy and wheat products! We are very grateful for this good news and deputation will be much easier. We also learned that she is very allergic to horses, dogs, and cats. This pet allergy is much easier to deal with than the wheat and dairy so we praise the Lord for this answer to prayer.

As the Lord continues to guide us, we thank you for your prayers and support. We are excited about getting back to a full schedule and we trust the Lord will continue to be faithful to you as well.
