Keith and Donna South: April 2010 Update
Praise the Lord!
It has been an eventful month here in Nephi. We have seen the Lord work in hearts to will and do of His good pleasure!
We kicked off March with four days of preaching from Brother Chuck Crabtree! The Lord used him in a wonderful way to speak to the hearts of those who attended. Our attendance was pretty good considering all the sickness that has been advancing through our ranks.
PTL and thank you for your prayers while I was away reporting in to churches in CA. It was a wonderful trip to churches that have been so faithful to our ministry here in Nephi. Donna and Doug stayed home and I heard about it from every person in every church the whole time I was away! Sorry, Donna is reminding me that I digress and I'm whining. Seriously, the dear folks in these churches were both a blessing and an encouragement to me. I was probably not on my 'A' game without my sweetie but they were so gracious and took very good care of me.
Pastor Steve and the folks did a wonderful job in my absence. One lady told me she didn't even notice I was gone! I told her I believed that was the way she listened to the preaching as well. Digressing again.
We are praising the Lord for another of our Light House boys coming to know the Lord as his Savior! Please pray for Ben. He is from an LDS family and will have to break this news to them in the near future. We talked about it this past Sunday. Pray the Lord will honor this and give him the right words and heart when he speaks to his family. Pray that the Lord will work in their hearts as well. Please continue to pray for Rudy. He is now in the transitional home in Provo. Pray that he will get into a ministry there and continue to grow in the Lord.
Praise the Lord, all of our ministries are moving forward for His glory. Teens & MK both are doing well as is our jail and Care Center ministries. Speaking of Care Center ministry; we have two in town and just this past week, we were invited to come and do a Bible study there as well! PTL! It has been opened and closed a few times but the new manager is a mother to one of the EMTs I run with on the ambulance. I've known her for many years. Please pray that we will be able to see this open up even more relationships and souls for the Lord.
Donna is doing well. She is looking forward to our trip in May. We will be traveling back to attend Jeff's graduation. We will also combine this with reporting in to four of our supporting churches. We will hook up with Brad at Grandma's and then all travel together to WI. She continues to amaze Doug and me. Jeff is looking forward to graduating this year and Brad is looking forward to finishing his Freshman year. We are not sure if he will return to Florida next year. He is still seeking the Lord's direction in the matter. Doug is looking forward to finishing up his last year of High School. He too is preparing and seeking the Lord as to where he will be going to college next year. I got home and Donna gave me a great big stop-you-in-your-tracks kiss! She told me that her lips were chapped because of lack of smooching! At that point Doug started gagging and ran outside tripping over the cat. The cat screamed and jumped for her life knocking over her water bowel drenching herself. It is so awesome to be home!
