Dear Pastor and Friends,
Greetings to you in our Lord's Sweet Name,
In the month of February, we had 4 preachers come from California to preach for us. They stayed with us five days. During those five days, we traveled hundreds of miles. They preached in our school day celebration, in churches, in a meeting with our preacher boys, a church building dedication and an Indian wedding. They also baptized several people in several churches.
This was a hard month for me because my daughter, Brenda, had surgery to have her appendix removed. Her state level school exams also started this month and will not be over until April 7th. Please help us pray that the Lord will give her wisdom and strength to study and to do well on the exams. These exams are very important at this point of her education.
I am renting a home near her school and every morning I take her to school at 8:00 AM, and then I go door knocking in new villages with some preacher boys and then get her from school at 5:15 PM. This past week I was able to knock on hundreds of doors and I will do the same this whole month. I believe the Lord is going to open some doors to start churches in that area.
We will be dedicating five church buildings this March. Pray the Lord to use us. We started one more church in February, which gives us a total of 353. Please continue to pray for our building needs. We still have 64 congregations that need a church building. What a blessing it is to have this problem and we pray that God will continue to provide the necessary funds for these buildings. The cost is $4000 in the coastal area and $6000 in the inland area.
We are also getting ready for Vacation Bible School in all our churches in April and May. We are expecting thousands of children to attend the VBS classes. We trust and pray thousands of young children will come to know the Lord as their personal Savior and Lord.
In preparation for VBS, we need Bibles and New Testaments to give to the newly saved children. Please pray for this need. We need at least 2500 Bibles because we are praying that at least 2500 children will be saved. Each Bible cost $2.
My boy, Allen, will be home from Bible College on the 15th of March. He will be helping me in April, May and June, and then he will go back to his 3rd year at the Bible College. Pray the Lord to use him during these months.
