Jonathan and Becky Earnhart: July 2006

Dear [Friends],

Hello again from our family to yours. Thank you so much for your prayers for our family. We truly count it a privilege to be serving the Lord together as a family. I have been reminded throughout the month how blessed Jonathan and I are to have children who love the Lord and enjoy being a part of the Lord's ministry. Sometimes I feel bad for the 'American' things they miss out on but them am reminded by the Lord of the many things they are able to experience because they are MK's. Truth be told, it's probably best that they not experience everything going on in America. The distractions and temptations of the world are very real here as well as in the States. What a job we have as parents to guide their steps and train their tender hearts while there is still time!

I enjoyed a special time of fellowship with our ladies this past Friday. We had a wonderful ladies activity with 18 in attendance and it seemed the 5 newcomers felt right at home. Please pray for Herminda, Magaly, Roxana and Marcela as they need to take the decision to be baptized. These are ladies that are between 35 and 50 years old but have just received the Lord after hearing a clear presentation of the Gospel for the first time. As I listen to the ladies share their difficulties, I feel inadequate in the counsel I give to them. I wish they could take a verse of Scripture and purchase the food they need for their families or one that would cause their husband to be responsible in the home. The promises shared from God's Word are comforting to those of us who have tried God and found Him to be worthy of our trust. For new believers it doesn't make sense yet and they get discouraged so quickly. Pray for the spiritual growth of our church and that the devil would not be able to choke the Word from these precious people.

Thank you for your faithful support for our family. We would love to have you come see first hand the investment you are making into our family and ministry. I would advise you to wait for a visit...wait til we thaw out!!! It's only in the 60's here at night. Then again we could have a 'freezing party'!!

Lovingly,

Becky
