Greg and Wendy Mann: February 2008 update

Dear Family and Friends,

It has been a few weeks since I have given an update. Everyone is doing well. The boys are busy with school every day. Wendy is busy with teaching them, and keeping up with the household chores. I am constantly amazed at her hard work and steadfast support to the boys and I. She is really amazing. I hope that you ladies are faithful to pray for Wendy, she is worthy of your time and concern.

A couple of weeks ago one of our men was in a "boating accident". As a result we lost an engine to the bottom of the river. We spent over a week, literally around the clock looking for it. Our home church sent us a fish finder to view the bottom of the river. Despite these efforts the motor has not yet been found.

Some months ago you might remember me telling you about Alan in Falls Top. Alan got saved and immediately got interested in sharing God's word in Carib. He asked me about buying him an outboard motor so that he could bring more people to church. He lives about 6 miles up river from the church, through some very rough water. Of course I could not buy him a motor, but I did admire his desire to serve God. After preaching at Falls Top two weeks ago Alan asked me again about buying him a motor. Again, I told him I couldn't. Alan said, "You don't understand". And with that, he handed me a very large chunk of raw gold! He had gone in the "gold bush" and mined for gold in order to buy himself an engine. The only problem, he did not know how to buy one! I am proud of Alan, for doing things on his own!

We are inching closer each week to completed in the Bible school in time to begin using the building by March. Despite huge delays with wood and supplies, I believe we will have the upper level ready in time for a March opening! More word on that as we get closer...!

Please remember to pray for Roger Blevins. He is the South American director with BIMI. A week ago as he was going to church he was hit head on by a drunk driver. He is still in very serious condition, and I know he and his family would be grateful for your prayers. Please check out BIMI.org for updates on Bro. Blevins.
