Dear Family and Friends,
We are still very busy traveling. For those who have prayed for us, we are grateful. As most of you know, it is imperative that we raise our monthly support, as well as raising funds for projects and special needs. So far, since the first of February, we have only one "concrete" promise of additional monthly support from a church. Please pray that the churches we visit will see that this is an urgent need. It can be frustrating to leave the work in Guyana to raise additional monthly support...only to find difficulty in that area. That is when I must remind myself that I cannot make it happen, and the growth of our ministry depends upon God, and not myself. I think alot of our feelings are due the fact that our hearts are in Guyana.
We are grateful for a number of significant pledges toward projects and special needs. We have a $15,000 comitment to build a church in Yarakita! We have a $15,000 comitment to build a church in Black Water! We have a $20,000 comitment towards the building of our Bible School/Dorm/Multi purpose building! We also have a $1,250 commitment toward the purchase of radio sets, and another $1250 towards another very special need! These commitments are an encouragement to us!
Please be in prayer for Pastor Norbert. We received word this morning (Sat) that his mother passed away. Norbert is very close to his mother. Several months ago Norbert led his mother to Christ and I had the privilege to baptize her.
This week we will be with Marcus Pointe Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.
