Gary and Verda Keck: February 2007

Dear Pastor and Praying friends:

In our absence, Bible Baptist Church is filled and souls are being saved. We just received an e-mail telling us that seven people have been saved and are ready to be baptized. We praise the Lord for His continual working in the lives of our people and for the faithfulness of those who are looking after the work at number 6.

I recently had the privilege of preaching at Grace Baptist Church in Corona, CA. After the service Paula, a visitor from England, approached Verda and I wanted us to talk to her about salvation. Verda and I had the privilege to share the wonderful Gospel with her. Moments later she prayed and received Christ as her Saviour.

In the last two months we have been in California, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. We have had the privilege to be in fourteen different churches. God has been so good to us: providing for us and protecting us in our journey. While traveling to Washington our pickup started bellowing smoke as we left the Oregon border. The closer we got to our destination the worse it became. Then we heard peculiar noises. I pulled off the freeway and gently made my way to Bible Baptist Church in Puyallup. Praise the Lord it was only a mile off the freeway. We pulled up in the parking lot of the church and the truck died. We had to call a tow truck to park our fifth wheel and take our truck to the Ford workshop. While the tow truck was maneuvering our trailer to park it adequately, the tow truck caught on fire. It was quite a day. We praise the Lord our truck was fixed in time to make our next appointment and it was all covered by warrantee. We had a great meeting in Puyallup.

We have enjoyed being in churches and meeting new friends, but as our furlough continues, our hearts long to be with the people God has called us to. We are beginning to make preparations for our return to Papua New Guinea. Please be in prayer for:

1. Papua New Guinea elections (September '07) and its law and order problems.
2. Bible Baptist Church at #6
3. Airline tickets - finding the best price.
4. As we purchase and prepare items to be shipped. Pray that the Lord will provide for us:
- A generator for our Bible School - 10 KVA with 240volt
- A bush-hog grass cutter for our Bible School

Thank you, for your faithful support and prayers.
