Donavan and Laura Bangs: February 2008

Dear Friends,

February has been different. Things are continuing to progress well with the baby and now Laura is really starting to slow down as she is no longer capable of doing certain tasks. Laura is also having difficulty sleeping for any great length of time. Thankfully, I have almost completed all the work for the nursery. I would like to thank all of you for your prayers concerning the child and for your gifts. I will let you know when the little one is born.

Things have been progressing at the church and our average number has been
increasing. Including one gentleman whom I had been counseling with for well over a year and is finally starting to attend and bringing his wife. I am also starting to involve more of the people in the services; this not only helps them feel useful, but also helps Laura as she was previously taking care of the music, but now she will have other things to take care of, namely a child. I have also been planning, if possible, to take some of our singles along to a retreat sponsored by Rheinland Baptist Church in Germany. I believe this would be a great opportunity to expose them to other believers and perhaps some of the other believers to a little of missions in England. But, that would not be until early summer this year.

This past week has been very interesting as somebody stole the telephone line into Cambourne. Metal thieves are becoming more prevalent in England and they decided to steal the copper lines into our area. This means I have been without a home phone
number or Internet access for several days. Please pray for me as I go through e-mail withdrawal symptoms. (This has now been rectified and it only took them a week) Our old banged up car passed its yearly inspection which was wonderful. We just had an earthquake on the 27th of February, very early this morning and I of course was still awake. No damage was done in our area to my knowledge, but further north there was some damage.

Please continue to pray concerning the upcoming birth of the child; that things would go well and the baby would turn into the correct position for delivery. Whenever the child comes is fine, although we would prefer either the Thursday or Friday evening rather than the Saturday night on the 29th of March as it would make things easier on
Sunday. We are thankful we have such good partners in ministry and we pray that the Lord will bless you for your faithfulness to His cause.

In Christ,
Donavan and Laura +1 Bangs
