Donavan and Laura Bangs: March 2007

Dear Friends,

March has been an interesting time. We have had some more people visit the church, who have just moved to Cambourne. They found out about us through my articles in the Cambourne Crier. It is good to know that not only is the message going out, but it is also being read. Some of our people have been gone this month to Germany, Taiwan and Singapore. In spite of these events we still managed to have 18 at our Bible Study on Saturday. Although, this did include some visitors (Joe and Rhonda) from one of our supporting churches in the United States.

Joe and Rhonda Henshaw won a Sunday School competition to bring the most visitors and as a result won a trip to England. They actually have a daughter here, who lives an hour away. So, they stayed and visited with them and still made time to visit and assist us. My attempts to seal the leak on the van had been unsuccessful and a bit messy. However, it turned out that Joe happens to spend a lot of time working on big rig trucks. He was able to affect a lasting repair at no additional costs. He also informed us that the gunky stuff underneath the oil cap in our car was not just from condensation, but may indicate some trouble with our head gasket. The car, however, actually passed its annual inspection. So, we will see how long it lasts. It was a real blessing to be able to spend some time with them and they were definitely an encouragement to us.

Our friend, David Parker, has improved in health after the doctors gave him an inhaler for asthma. We thank you for your prayers concerning this matter. Not only is he a great friend and brother in Christ, but also my wife won't let me do anything major around the house (repair-wise) without his skill. I build strong, but not very pretty.

I have uploaded a version of my presentation that I completed last year for a church to my web site. I am working on a newer version, which will take a little time, but I will let you know when it is completed. We finally got the water system sorted out, but needed some more salt. I enquired on the local forum and oddly (or should I say Godly) enough, someone who intends to supply salt as business in the area, just moved into Cambourne. I had a good opportunity to meet him and his family and give them information about the church and he even gave me a discount on the salt. God supplies what we need, when we need it. He uses anything and anyone to get what His children need. We truly serve the God that provides.

Thank you all again for your prayers and support. We ask for prayer for a young Englishman, named Michael, for salvation. He has been attending regularly, but still has not yet accepted Christ. He will be joining the Army in April. We look forward to the adventures in ministry that God has blessed us to be part of together.

In Christ,
