Donavan and Laura Bangs: February 2007
Dear Friends,
February has been interesting. It began with a covering of glistening snow and ends with a covering of sticky mud. Things are going well with the Bible study. Laura was able to lead two young girls to Christ whilst I taught the adults in another room. There were twenty-two in attendance for February's meeting. One of our people also organized a table tennis event which went well. Although, not surprisingly because of my lack of depth perception my table tennis is on a par with my golf, in other words non-existent. However, it did give me a opportunity to examine the community center for possible use for other events. We also had a good opportunity to counsel with one family that has attended sporadically and I believe that we were able to help with their difficulty.
The Church sign is still an ongoing concern as to put it up we find that it needs planning permission and approval from two or perhaps three separate councils. But, I am progressing slowly in that direction. The adventures with automobiles continue, our Astra now has one blue front quarter panel and the van has one rim with special red paint on it to secure the bolts in place. The bolts are fine, but they keep on wriggling loose so hopefully this should stop them.
We ask for prayer for our friend David Parker. He has been ill since Christmas and has recently been admitted to hospital. The doctors do not know what is wrong with him yet, but think that it is some problem with his breathing, perhaps environmental or asthma or allergies. We ask for healing and direction for David. Laura has recently received her first pair of glasses and now understands some of the difficulties involved with wearing spectacles.
Especially when cooking with steaming food.
We thank you all for your continued support and pray that God would continue to bless you for your efforts as we strive to fulfill his great plan.
In Christ,
Donavan & Laura Bangs
