Don Dunn, GPBC Missionary with ROA
Dear Pastor and Church:
Greetings from California. I trust that all is well with you and your work is going forward for the Glory of God.
Let me begin with a word from the ministry at Wasco State Prison, there in Wasco, CA. About three or four weeks ago, I preached and dealt with a man during the invitation. As I dealt with him, he began to cry. This man was under heavy conviction and accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour. He left the service going back to his unit still crying as I walked and talked with him. On Wednesday I had a special service with the men. I read several scriptures about being thankful for all that God had done for us. Then I told the men that I want to hear from them. This man was the first to speak up. He said he wanted to thank God for his salvation and for the new life that he now had. He began to weep openly. He said that when he went to do something out of habit from the old life that he just didn't like it anymore. That's a sure sign that he got the real thing or should I say the real thing got him.
Please continue to pray for my health. I have good days and bad days. I'm trying to learn how to pace myself and remember that it is the Lord's work and I can only do what he allows me to do physically. My desire is to be able to go back to a more normal schedule.
We have some financial needs we wish you would help us pray about. Samaritan Ministries that we have health insurance with has been able to publis only 80% of the need for 2 months this year. This has left us with a few hundred dollars out of pocket expense. We are still looking for a good dependable car with good gas mileage to drive back and forth to prison. Please help us pray the Lord will lead us to the right one for the amount of money we have put back for it. God has been so good and so faithful and we know He will meet the need again.
