Clayton and Robyn McCurdy: April and May 2008

Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,

We are fast approaching the end of a good semester of the Bible institute. This month the students will take their final exams before the summer break. I've been encouraged to see the hunger these students have for the Word of God and the desire to serve God. Some of them travel for several hours on a bus each Saturday in order to attend. Pray that God would raise up pastors, missionaries and Godly ladies from this group of students. Also, pray that God would give us new students next semester that have a desire to serve our Lord.

Pray for a man named Valerii. As we were soul-winning in the Central Market, a man approached me and I gave him a Gospel tract. I was able to talk to him for a few minutes and he was very curious about the tracts we were passing out. The more I talked with him and questioned him, the more I realized he was lost without Christ, but he was honestly seeking forgiveness of sin. Because of sin, he had gotten into a lot of trouble and was now feeling the weight of his sin. It was my privilege to share with him that if he would be open and honest before God about his condition that God would save him from his sin and give him the gift of eternal life. He readily received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour. Pray that he would come and be faithful in church and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

We will be coming back on a short furlough this summer from the end of May until the middle of September. We will be in the state of Alaska during this time so if you are interested in an update on what God is doing in Moldova, please give us a call through our home church. Pray that God would bless this time with our families and that we could get the necessary medical procedures and checkups completed during this time.

Sincerely,

Clayton, Robyn, Yelisa, Emily & Kayla McCurdy

Dear Pastor, Praying Friends and Family, "O-B-E-D-I-E-N-C-E, obedience is the very best way to show that you believe." This simple children's song reminds us of one of the key ingredients to the Christian life - obedience. Yet, God does not simply want our obedience, he wants us to obey by faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. So God wants us to obey Him even if we cannot...continue

Dear Pastor, Praying Friends, and Family, Happy New Year to all of you! Every January we never cease to be amazed that yet another year has passed. This last year has certainly been a full year. January took my wife and children to Wisconsin to honor the life of my wife's grandfather who passed away. While there, God miraculously provided and allowed Emily to have a successful tear duct surgery....continue

Dear Pastor, Praying Friends, and Family, What a great privilege it is that we have to serve the God of heaven. After his encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, Saul said, "Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?" It really does not matter what we are doing or where we are doing it so long as we are serving our Lord and we are obedient to what He has...continue
