Dear Friend,
I want to share with you a story from behind the scenes that I believe demonstrates how God so often miraculously intervenes in the cases our attorneys handle every day. Through your prayers and support, we have been given the first-hand opportunity to see God work through us to preserve and protect ministries across America.
Not for doing anything wrong, but simply for upholding the ministry's Bible-based moral standards, a Christian school was recently sued by the parents of a former student. As we met with the school's administration and agreed to defend the ministry, we prayed fervently that God would protect the ministry and give the leadership special grace to maintain a Christ-honoring testimony through this difficult trial of their faith.
With the litigation about to take off in a flurry of time-consuming and expensive legal proceedings, God intervened. Through the kindness and wise counseling of a pastor who kept open lines of communication with the family, God softened their hearts to the wrongfulness of their lawsuit. Out of the blue, the student's father emailed the school staff and stated that God had spoken to his heart and that he would soon be dismissing the lawsuit without any further demands on the ministry! When the suit was dismissed days later, we rejoiced with the ministry in recognizing God's providential watchcare and protection. As is so often the case in our legal endeavors, God miraculously provided a solution.
We thank God for such a stunning victory to start 2006. Our case load continues to grow at an alarming rate, as churches, ministries, and Christians in the workplace face legal challenges. Your gift, no matter the size, makes it possible for us to continue the work God has raised us up to do. In February, we were blessed with the addition of a highly experienced litigator to our legal missionary staff, and we need to make some crucial upgrades to our ministry computer systems. While we thank God for these wonderful additions, your donation will be especially helpful at this time and will help meet these critical ministry needs.
