Chad and Faith Mann: March 2008
Greetings!
This year seems to be flying past so quickly! We have lots of news to update you on here in this letter. God has really been good to us through the trials that come our way. We know that He has a purpose for it and we try our best to remember those promises when they come. Thank you for taking time to read through this letter!
Crash Update
First of all we want to thank you for your prayers and financial help after the crash we were involved in. We thank the Lord, because His protection was very evident. Through it God allowed us to be a testimony to the people we exposed to while we were stranded there. Please continue to pray that the remaining details will be taken care of shortly. We also want to express our gratitude to our sending church for allowing us to borrow a van during this time.
Language Classes
We have enrolled in our language acquisition classes this summer. These are special college classes we will be taking for nine weeks this summer in North Dakota in preparation for India. Having lived there in India for three years, we found out that languages there were pretty difficult. These special classes will enhance our ability to learn new languages and culture in India. Please pray that God will allow us wisdom and the ability to talk in these new sounds.
We are also looking for churches to visit and present our ministry around Grand Forks North Dakota during the months of June and July. If you are interested or know of people there, please contact us shortly. We are also looking for a young lady to help watch the kids during our morning class times during the week days. This would greatly help my wife and I concentrate on the learning we need to do. We have begun our search for a place to stay for those nine weeks as well.
Ministry News
Deputation has been a good time and we thank you for your prayers during this time. We are around the half way point and really ask you to pray that we will be able to raise the remainder of our support. We thank the Lord for His grace as we travel and teach our kids on the road.
Our website is getting some updating and new features. Over the next two months we will be making it more user friendly and searchable. This will be a great tool for us after we get to the field. It will allow us to give many more personal details without exposing the ministry and work in India. Please pray that God will allow us to find someone who would be willing to join our team and be dedicated to these technical areas. If you know of someone who might be interested, please help them get in touch with us. Thank you!
This year will be moving by very quickly and we have many things to get accomplished. Please continue to pray for our family and ministry. The closer we get back to the field of India, the more we will face opposition and trials. We have seen this many times before and this is why we really need your prayers.
