Baptist International Missions, Inc.: March 2006
Dear Friends of Baptist International Missions:
Greetings in the Name of Christ who said, "I do nothing of myself but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things ... I do always those things that please Him" (John 8:28-29).
It is my privilege on behalf of the BIMI Board of Trustees, officers, directors, missionaries and staff at the World Missions Center to express our gratitude for your prayers and partnership in the ministry of worldwide missions. There has never been a day since the day Christ first gave His church the commission and command to "Go ... into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" when there was a greater need for the Gospel to be preached than today.
Thank you for permitting and making it possible for Baptist International Missions to assist you in obeying our Lord's command to reach every soul with the Gospel during our generation. It is our desire to do everything we can to assist the missionaries you have commissioned to serve with BIMI to obey God's will for their lives. Like Christ, may we always do those things that please the Father.
The theme for THE 100 NATIONS PROJECT 2005-2010 is Crossing New Borders for the Sake of the Gospel and the Glory of God! Dr. Lee Roberson said, "This is a reachable goal." We are praying that 1,000 Churches will host a 1,000 Nations Service. This would enable BIMI representatives to make an audio-visual presentation and give a challenging message that God could use to send missionaries from your church to an unreached nation.
Recently in a missions conference my eyes were filled with tears as I witnessed a Parade of Nations presented in a U.S. military church in Germany. A flag representing each nation where the church had a missionary was displayed. Then, after a brief pause, a young man dressed completely in black slowly came down the isle carrying a totally black flag. Without any explanation we all knew that the man and the flag represented the billions of people that are still in satanic bondage and total darkness. I sobbed as I sat on the platform thinking, "Who will send and who will go to take the Light to the lost while there is yet time?" Together, through God's power and provision, we can accomplish what otherwise would be an impossible task. BIMI is dedicated to be your helpmate in reaching the world for Christ.
