Andrew and Ramona Wilson: October and November 2006

Dear Praying Friends,

As we enter into Fall, we have put many miles behind us and are looking forward to returning to Germany. We have seen God's hand work in meeting our needs. Our travels have taken us to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, North Carolina and back to Georgia. Several new churches have expressed desire to support our ministry on a monthly basis. We praise the Lord for the good response we have seen.

Our routine for furlough has been quite simple. We schedule a meeting then we drive to our meetings and then return to Ramona's father's home where we are staying. In September our routine turned into an adventure. We were in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland for a month. While in PA our van threw a rod and were faced with the need for a new engine. This happen around 1:00 am. It was not until 3:00 am that we were able to get a tow truck to pick us up and drive us to a hotel. The Lord was working though as we did not have the extra money to have the engine replaced. The garage that towed our van was quoting us $4375.00 to put a new engine in. That definitely did not fit into our budget. Our next two meetings were in West Virginia. In order to get to these meetings we rented a car. At the end of that evening service at Ripley Baptist Temple, a gentleman approached me and said he had a van he wanted to give us. After getting the van tagged and titled in our name I received a phone call from the church we were traveling from when our van broke down, they had found a mechanic who could fix our van for $1500.00. So we had it fixed and how have a van we can give away. We thank the Lord for how He works to meet our needs.

The next few weeks we will be in California, Florida and South Carolina. Our goal is to be back in Germany by the end of December or the first of January. We miss the folks in our church in Germany and are looking forward to being back in place as well as a normal home schooling routine.

We have all enjoyed our meetings. The traveling was fun at first for the children, but now they are saying they are also ready to return to Germany. They miss their friends there as well our home and church family. We are very thankful for our time here in the States, but we are ready to return to our work in Germany. Please pray with us as we finish out our furlough that our support will be at the level needed for our ministry in Germany.

Thank you all who sacrifice financially and lift us up in your prayers. How blessed we are to have dear Christians praying for us. We appreciate your prayers for us as we work to raise additional support and for the lost souls in Germany. While on furlough we also want to be an encouragement to God's people as well as convey the need for missionaries in Germany.

In Christ,

Andrew, Ramona, Brianna and Drew Wilson
