Andrew and Ramona Wilson: March and April 2006
Dear Praying Friends,
We are presently in Georgia and are in the early stages of our furlough. We praise the Lord we were able to sell our van in Germany. As a result that has help provide some of the funds to purchase a dependable used vehicle to use while in the States. Since being back in the States we have been busy with: creating a presentation of our ministry in Germany, calling Pastors to schedule meetings, as well as designing and ordering new Prayer Cards. Thankfully our schedule is filling up.
It is difficult being away from our Church for several months. One consolation is that Kai Fauss is overseeing the work and is doing a great job. Kai was saved when he was 15, but was not baptized until September of last year. We also have a retired German missionary helping with one Sunday every month. Our European Director, Mickey Johnson, is also filling in for us while we are in the States. All three men are a big blessing to us, as well as, the Church.
I arrived the end of January, as Ramona and the children arrived a couple weeks earlier to help with Ramona's Dad. In December her Dad was diagnosed with throat cancer and we were wanting to be able to help him during this time. Ramona is very thankful she has been able to drive him to and from the doctors for his treatments, help with a lot of the paper work involved, and help in his over all care. Ramona has not only been busy helping her Dad, but she has been very busy with home schooling Brianna and Andrew.
Brianna and Andrew have been busy with their school work, but have made time to play with their cousins. Drew is learning to play baseball, since it is not a regular sport in Germany. Brianna is wanting to learn more about the game of Tennis. We will see what we can do as we will be traveling a lot.
The Churches we have been in have been a blessing and encouragement to us. We have been blessed to see God's people excited about missions and about our ministry to reach the German people with the Gospel. Most of our meetings through May are in Georgia and North Florida. In June we will be in Central Florida for several weeks and will be Ohio and Pennsylvania later in the year.
We appreciate your prayers for us as we work to raise additional support. While on furlough we also want to be an encouragement to God's people as well as convey the need for missionaries in Germany.
