Allen and Michelle Ketel: January and February 2008
Friends and Family,
We are proud to announce Ethan Andrew was born on 12-12, weighing in at 7lbs. 14oz. He is doing great and has already gained 4 pounds. Since he was born in the middle of December, we were able to be home for several weeks with out needing to travel. This has been a much appreciated and needed break for mom and Ethan. Thank you for your prayers. As of this week the baby break is over and we are excited to be back on the fast food frenzy, I mean deputation trail.
The year ahead promises to be exciting. When the goal before us is to get rid of most everything we own, move to Russia, set up a new home, and learn a new language, the year can't help but to be exciting. A great verse of encouragement is Matthew 6:8 "...for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." Pray for us, the challenges ahead of us, though exciting won't be easy.
Looking back on this past year brings a sense of awe at how the Lord has graciously brought us along. Of course we set goals and have dreams, but at all points we must trust the Lord and ask for His will to be done. This past year the Lord has graciously seen fit to use many of you to bring us closer and within reach of the monthly financial goals we have to live and minister in Russia. We want to say a special thank you to you as individuals who have given so faithfully to missions, and we want you to rejoice and thank the Lord with us for taking care of our every need.
